Wedding Checklist

Below is a simple wedding planner to help you organize the many tasks which are involved in coordinating your wedding and honeymoon.  The time frames and tasks set forth below are a guide to assist you in planning your reception.  If you have any questions, as always, please contact us.

6 TO 12 MONTHS AHEAD:

o   Reserve ceremony site

o   Register for gifts

o   Select color scheme

o   Choose your officiant

o   Select attendants & ushers

o   Select photographer & videographer

o   Select a Band/DJ

o   Select wedding dress & headpiece

o   Select attendant dresses

o   Plan honeymoon

o   Pick out and mail Save the Dates

4 to 6 MONTHS AHEAD:

o   Select florist

o   Arrange for limousines and transportation

o   Purchase or reserve groom’s attire

o   Select attire for ushers

o   Check requirements for marriage license

o   Shop for wedding rings

o   Book suite for wedding night

o   Confirm all wedding attire ordered

o   Have both mothers coordinate dress selections

o   Finalize guest list and order invitations

o   Select favors

2 to 4 MONTHS AHEAD:

o   Address invitations

o   Review details with Wedding Vendors

o   Make rehearsal arrangements & arrange dinner

o   Reserve accommodations for out of town guests

o   Make appointments for hair and make-up

o   Meet with caterer to review details and menu selections

1 TO 2 MONTHS AHEAD:

o   Mail invitations 8 weeks prior to date with  RSVP 4 weeks prior to date

o   Arrange for fitting for your gown

o   Coordinate with attendants and schedule their fittings

o   Organize wedding accessories (guest book, toasting glasses, cake top, knife, etc.)

o   Send change of address information to post office

o   Practice hairstyle with headpiece

o   Arrange for make-up artist to do a trial run

o   Discuss ceremony with officiant and finalize details

1 MONTH TO 2 WEEKS AHEAD:

o   Arrange for final fittings

o   Pick up gown and groom’s attire

o   Pick up wedding rings and be sure they fit

o   Check that all attendants have picked up attire

o   Obtain marriage license

o   Contact guests who have not responded

o   Arrange seating plan

o   Finalize seating cards or display

o   Confirm travel arrangements

o   Confirm final details with vendors

o   Final meeting with caterer to review floor plan and details

o   Pack for honeymoon

YOUR WEDDING DAY:

o   Eat a good breakfast

o   Start dressing approximately 1 hour
before you are scheduled to take pictures

o   Enjoy your WEDDING DAY !!!
