Thank you to all who attended our Welcome Spring Wedding Expo!!
For this Expo, we featured Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year “Rose Quartz” and “Serenity.” Rose Quartz is a soft blush color and projects a sense of kindness while Serenity, a baby blue color, exudes tranquility. These colors can easily pair with other mid-tones: green and purple, rich browns and shades of yellow and pink. At the Expo, we included Rose Quartz and Serenity table linens and incorporated the colors in our Signature Drink Display.

The evening included a sampling of our most popular cocktail hour stations, including the ever popular Gourmet Burger Bar which features your choice of three gourmet burgers coupled with onion rings and a classic mini milk shakes. You can select from Classic Mini-Cheeseburger, Bacon-Blue Cheese, Turkey Burgers, Crab Sliders, Greek Lamb, Vegetarian or Buffalo Chicken Burgers to name a few of the choices.
Dessert was the main focus this expo and we presented our latest dessert bar: The Cinnamon Roll Ice Cream Bar. This station features traditional Cinnamon Bun cubes, drizzled with icing and paired with your Vanilla or Mocha Ice Cream, topped with your choice of Toasted Almonds, Fresh Strawberries, Chocolate Chips and Crushed Oreo with Whipped Cream, Chocolate Syrup and Caramel Sauce. This station was a big success!!
Also displayed was our One Night in Venice Italian Dessert Bar, which was awarded “Most Viable Concept” at the Catersource Buffet Contest in Las Vegas. This Dessert Display features Italian favorites: Mixed Berried Sabayon, Fresh-Filled Cannolis and Tiramisu paired with Espresso and Classic Cappuccinos.
Trends for 2016 and 2017 predict a return to the traditional round wedding cakes but adding color and texture. The wedding cake featured at the Expo was a four tier round cake with plus and ivory designs accented with plum ribbon and was from Tilda’s Bake Shop in Rocky Point.
While it was a brisk March evening, our design team braved the cold to decorate the Secret Garden in Serenity with Hydrangea blooms in the gazebo and in the hurricanes lining the aisle.
